Ajax Fans Gather at Lions Pride for Champions League Clash

A special event was held today for all football and sports fans at Lions Pride in Downtown Orlando. Dozens of fans gathered to watch the Champions League clash between Ajax Amsterdam and FC Bayern Munich. In addition to an exciting match, the watch-party also featured the original 1995 Champions League Cup for fans to see. Of course, a selfie with the trophy was not to be missed! Throughout the first half, fans talked about the match and and of course cheered for their team. A free round of beer in the 19th minute or so helped liven the festivities.

The game picked up speed in the second half and was a thrillride until the final minute. With two red cards, two penalties and numerous scoring opportunities for both teams. While fans of Ajax Amsterdam could only cheer for a draw at the end of the match, the watch party ended with adrenaline-fueled and radiant faces. Those in attendance didn’t leave empty-handed, either. Special giveaways included an original signed jersey and scarves from their favorite club.

Ajax Amsterdam will be one of four international teams of the Florida Cup in January. They will play the first game on January 10 at 7 p.m. ET against Flamengo at the Orlando City Stadium. For tickets, visit www.floridacup.com
