COLOMBIAN STAR MANUEL TURIZO ADDED TO EXTENDED FLORIDA CUP PERFORMANCE ON JANUARY 18 AT EXPLORIA STADIUM

Orlando, Fla. – January 3, 2020 – Officials with Florida Cup 2020 announced today that award-winning Colombian singer Manuel Turizo will participate in a special extended performance on January 18, sharing the stage with Brazilian artist Ivete Sangalo at Exploria Stadium.

Named Best New Latin Artist by the iHeartRadio Music Awards, Turizo’s hit song “Una Lady Como Tú” propelled him into mainstream popularity, recently receiving more than 1.3 billion views on YouTube. Turizo will perform with Sangalo in a special show scheduled to take place in between the double-header matches of New York City FC vs. Palmeiras (2 p.m. kickoff), and Atletico Nacional vs. Corinthians (5:30 p.m. kickoff) in the final of Florida Cup 2020. FLORIDA CUP
On January 15, Corinthians, current three-time champion of São Paulo and twice champion in the last four editions of Brasileirão, faces Major League Soccer’s Eastern Conference Champions New York City FC. The same day, there will be a clash between Palmeiras, the Brazilian champion in 2016 and 2018, and Atlético Nacional, the winningest Colombian champion and 2016 Copa Libertadores Champion. Both matches will be held at Exploria Stadium, home of Orlando City SC and the Orlando Pride, in downtown Orlando.

On January 18, Exploria Stadium will host the Florida Cup 2020 finals. NYCFC faces Palmeiras, while Atlético Nacional plays against Corinthians. The special performance by Turizo and Sangalo will take place between the matches.
